Finally.........

I'm baaack.  Wow.. what a year so far.  As soon as I put the lease on the shop life went on a whirlwind.  Most of it is good.. we had a farm that we had to sell so we moved into our condo and slowly began to move the stuff from the farmhouse.. we tried to sell the farm about 4 years ago and we had it on the market for over a year and less than 10 people even looked at it so I was assuming we were going to be sitting on the farm for awhile and I was in no hurry to get all my stuff out of it.  Well..  we listed it on a friday evening and had a contract by noon the following day.  Yeah!  Ohhh.. crap.  I don't have room for all my stuff...  guess where it went?  Yup.. the shop.  So sadly the shop had to become a storage facility as we rushed to get all our property off the farm.  Cash deal.. close in thirty days.. can't ask for better than that... unless your me and have/had your fabric stash stashed in 4 different rooms.. and now I'm in a condo.   I went into depression for a few months.. I just couldn't see the light.  I LOVE my stuff.  Some might call me a hoarder.. and I'm sure I'm borderline.. but if I already have it.. and I might some day need it.. why would I want to get rid of it?  You just never know.. ya know?   Well.. I finally found the incentive to get me off my hiney and make the shop what I always dreamed it would be.   I am getting a quilting machine.. woohoo!  I have spent the last 3 days cleaning at the shop.. I wouldn't say organizing.. but I have put everything in a place.   Tomorrow I will go to pick it up and bring it home.. might be a couple more days before I can convince the hubs to put it together but once that's done I can begin learning my machine and hopefully get my quilting business up and running to help pay for the shop.  I'm so excited!!!  Can't wait to get it all done and then I'll post some pics...

A store of my own....

This is soo exciting!  I signed a lease for my new quilting adventure on January 10th.  I can't wait to get the keys in my hands to start decorating and getting the store ready to open.  At first it was just going to be a place for me to sew..  since we live in a condo.. space is limited so I was going to rent the space for my sewing room but things just kinda snowballed from there and now I am going to open a full fledged quilting store.  I have my name picked..  Rosie Posie Quilting..  I just filled out the forms with the city and zoning..   now I just have to wait until the landlord finishes cleaning up the space from the prior tenant and then it's all mine!........   mine! mine! mine!  ha...   can't wait to show you.
